Canadiana Room

Our local history Canadiana Room is located at the Simcoe Branch. This room is open to the public.

Patrons are welcome to use the room’s two public access computers. These computers are for ancestry and genealogy research use. Users will need to sign in at the computer with a valid library card. Computer users in the Canadiana Room will have a 2 hour slot in which to do research. If there is no wait, staff may extend computer sessions. Printing is also available from these computers. Printed documents have to be released from the main floor Reservation Station computer, located next to the Public Access computers.

In our Canadiana Room, patrons will find:
– Norfolk County historical books
– Newspaper microfilm
– Births, deaths & marriage records
– Historical atlases
– Census records
– Church histories
– Family histories (genealogies)
– Cemetery records
– Public access computer for ancestry use
