Having been a life long resident of Norfolk County, I count it a privilege to serve on the Norfolk County Public Library Board.

I have provided care to folks from all walks of life in Norfolk County and beyond, as a Registered Nurse, for the past 34 years.

Being a positive and productive participant in my community has always been important to me. To be able to contribute and support the growing needs of this community by encouraging everyone to enjoy the benefits of Norfolk County Public Libraries is an honour.

I have always been a huge reader and library supporter. Working within schools as a teacher and now a principal, I always advocated for libraries and literacy. Everything from setting up book clubs, providing teachers with inspirational picture books, purchasing popular books to encourage engagement and excitement about reading. Reading is a life skill, and the importance of a library is not only holding books, but empowering students to find their joy in reading. I believe libraries are about engaging, encouraging, collaborating with others to promote the importance of reading so that people develop a lifelong love of reading. My past committee work with ALL Norfolk Community Centre, Simcoe Minor Sports and various social agencies will help in listening to the needs of Norfolk Communities.
