Our Book Club Kits make it easy to enjoy your next book club read! They contain multiple copies of the same title as well as a supplementary folder with information about the book and author, discussion tips, questions to facilitate conversation, and MORE!
Before You Borrow:
The Norfolk County Public Library holds a high standard of quality for all of our books. To protect you and the Library, all books in the kit will be inspected together by staff and the borrower prior to sign-out. This ensures everyone is aware of the current condition of the materials and helps prevent any misunderstandings about damages.
We will check for:
- Water damage
- Torn or missing pages
- Loose bindings
- Any other visible wear and/or damage
Please Note:
- The bag is not waterproof! In additional to the individual books, please be mindful of where you store or set the bag down.
- The borrower is responsible for the complete kit and all its contents.
- Replacement cost for a full kit: $300.00
- Replacement cost for individual items may be considered but will vary depending on the item.
- If you discover possible damage while you are reading that was missed during the check-out inspection, such as writing or drawings in the book, please make a note for the return inspection to discuss with staff.
Upon Return:
The kit will be re-inspected by staff and the borrower to ensure that the condition of the the kit and all of it’s contents are free of damage.
